Erla Heyns is the Associate Dean for Learning at Purdue University and School of Information Studies. She received her PhD in Library and Information Science from Indiana University Bloomington and Masters of Social Work from Syracuse University. Before coming to Purdue, Erla was Director of the Veterinary Library and Coordinator of the Engineering, Math, and Physical Science Libraries at Cornell University.  She held several positions at Indiana University Libraries prior to that.  Her research interests are in academic library management, mentoring, marketing, and fundraising.
