Kari L. Jordan, Ph.D., is a highly accomplished professional and a leading figure in data science education. Dr. Jordan's educational background includes Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, where she excelled in her studies and demonstrated a passion for empowering others through technology. Eager to deepen her knowledge, she pursued a Ph.D. in Engineering Education, specializing in interventions to improve sense of belonging for people of color in STEM.

With her extensive expertise and unwavering commitment, Dr. Jordan has been instrumental in shaping The Carpentries' mission and driving its global impact. Under her visionary leadership, the organization has grown exponentially, expanding its reach and influence in academia, industry, and government sectors.

Dr. Jordan's innovative approach to data science education has made her a sought-after speaker and collaborator. She has delivered keynote addresses at major conferences and actively contributes to international initiatives to bridge the digital skills gap.
